A Guide To Your




This class is for Pre School aged children, ideally between 2 & 5 years of age. An introduction to dance, it covers jazz, ballet as well as incorporating elements of Drama and Music!


We have two offerings for your dancer, to ensure the best experience is had by all.

Little Stars Dance offers jazz, ballet tap for your little one! It is 45 mins per class, and is for dancers 2-5 yrs.



This style of dance is fun and energetic!


 It features a mixture of sharp and fluid movements, popping & locking and animated expression similar to dances seen on commercial video clips. These are fun, 'freestyle' type of classes.

For students wanting to excel in this style - jazz especially - a modern/contemporary, conditioning or technique class is recommended as this encourages grace and balance and gives your dancer a much stronger basis on which to build this style.


Graceful, Elegant, Interpretive

Modern dance is a style that centres more on the dancers interpretation of music and steps, rather than the structured versions utilised in traditional ballet dancing. It involves using the dancers emotions and moods to portray the "story" of the dance. Ballet technique is incorporated into each of our modern classes to ensure the basic skills are built and strengthened.


Basic Movement, Deportment and Acting!

Lets do BROADWAY! This class is aimed at giving your dancer a character they can depict, all to music. Think Hairspray”, Singing in the Rain and Grease”!

Your dancer will develop all important confidence and techniques in deportment as well as plenty of drama games and opportunities to bring out their inner Drama Queen (or King!)

Tap Shoes


One of Our Specialities!

Tap dancers use their tap shoes to use their feet like drums, creating amazing rhythmic patterns. It Isi a great class for encouraging coordination skills and can be quite vigorous, improving your fitness levels. Galaxy students have the option of completing examinations from the Glenn Wood Tap Syllabus.


For Your Dancer’s Strength, Fitness and Wellbeing


Your dancer will be made stronger and fitter for their classes utilising a variety of strength and conditioning classes which include:

  • Progressing Ballet Technique (commonly known in your dancerworld as PBT) is an innovative body-conditioning and strengthening program that has been designed to enhance students' technique by focussing on training the muscle memory required in each exercise in all forms of dance. It is a unique training system using ballet-technique specific exercises to train skill acquisition in a graded and progressive manner from junior through to advanced levels. PBT helps teachers around the world prepare their students to receive the strength they need to achieve their personal best. The program helps with injury prevention and rehabilitation and enhances the ability of athletes to perform at their best.

  • Barre Attack is a low impact, high intensity workout combining the best of all things dance - from standing pilates work, short cardio intervals, to dance moves in a ballet class. The class is accessible for everybody and all levels of fitness.

  • Pilates is a system of exercises designed to improve physical strength, flexibility, and posture, and enhance mental awareness. You will love every minute of the classes, and be thankful for the benefits they provide. Great for DANCERS or anyone looking to GET FIT


Student Teacher Education Program


DanceStep is a 4 year student teacher program that guides students to be leaders and role models.  It covers assistant teaching skills such as behaviour management, different learning needs and styles, and anatomy to name a few.  The program empowers students to take care of others.  Each Step requires minimum 10 practical hours, with 20 hours encouraged.  


Each Step is generally one year in duration. 


Circus for Dancers

Dance Cirque is a class that we know your kids will absolutely love. They get to climb, juggle and learn tricks in a safe environment. 


Dance Cirque is for children over 5 years of age, great for boys and girls and you don't need to be a dancer to enjoy it. It works on level cards so everyone progresses at their own pace. It not only involves an apparatus (silks, lyra, static trapeze) but also ground acts (juggling and hula hooping). Great for cognitive development, strength and flexibility and mostly confidence.

Circus for Preschoolers

And we haven’t forgotten our Preschoolers… we have something very special for them called Little Monkeys.

Little Monkeys Circus Classes are super fun for pre-schoolers 2-5 years of age. Watch your little one gain confidence and learn new skills. Classes include basic tumbling, interactive circuits, balance beams, silks, juggling, hula hoops and more all under the supervision of our fully qualified teachers.

ACROBATICS for Preschoolers


Come join Flippy the fox, as we travel around the world and stop off at amazing places like Europe, Africa, China and more.

Toddlers will love working on gross motor skills and school readiness alongside safe tumbling skills in a fun, nurturing and educational environment.

TumbleTown helps kids step out of their comfort zone and go on an adventure like no other. Start your engines and come join Flippy the fox and watch your kids grow, learn and have fun!



Stability, mobility and technique all in one class.


This new program has been designed in conjunction with Injury Prevention Alliance.


Students learn industry standard new skills in a safe environment whilst gaining strength, mobility and being educated about the body. Coloured level cards mean students learn in a non-competitive environment and progress at their own pace. Get flexible, learn new skills, make new friends.


Acrobatics Skills with a Dance Emphasis​

The Acrobatic Dance Association syllabus is designed to be taught by dance teachers in a dance studio. It is a progressive syllabus that takes students through all areas of acrobatic dance and aims for each student to achieve set skills and maintain these skills as they progress through to the advanced levels. The levels have been divided into basic, intermediate and advanced groups to assist teachers to design their own class structure and to prepare students for progressive development.

Acrobatic skills assist the all-round development of performers and dancers; improving flexibility, strength, spatial awareness and confidence.
